Every family has a culture.

That's why I'm here.

And that's what all of this is about. Not building a perfect family. Not raising perfect kids. Not pretending we always get it right.

Most of what I know about family was learned around our dinner table. In hard conversations. Through mistakes. Through laughter. In seasons when we got it right—and plenty when we didn't.

Somewhere along the way, I started noticing something: The families we want aren't built in the big moments. They're built in the ordinary ones.

Tuesday night at the dinner table. The drive home from school. What happens when somebody makes a mistake. How we respond when we're tired. How we disagree. How we apologize. Whether our kids know they can tell us the truth—even when it's hard.

Those moments don't seem like much. But they're building something. They're building culture.

That's why I created Circle Up—to help families start meaningful conversations about what matters.

And it's why I write The Family Meeting every week—one practical idea to help us work on our families, not just in them.

Because strong families don't happen accidentally. We build them.

One conversation. One decision. One ordinary Tuesday at a time.
